The ukulele's koa head plate and back plate were book matched, glued and shaped to the proper dimensions. The 1/16" koa veneer plates cover the scarf joint and provide an aesthetic feature to the head stock. The holes for the tuners were drilled for Gotoh SG381 tuners.
