I traced the brace locations on the back of the soundboard (top). The transverse spruce braces were milled to 7/32" in width. The braces were glued to the soundboard and clamped with my "Go Bar" system. The fan braces were thinned to 3/16th" and the center brace was notched above the Koa 3/64" bridge patch and glued in place. The sound hole was reinforced with two thin spruce braces. The braces were scalloped and shaped with a chisel and Ibex finger plane.
