The end graft is a "V" inlayed into the bottom of the ukulele. The channel for the inlay was scored with a xacto knife, routed to a depth of 3/32" and cleaned out with a chisel. The "V" inlay is a 3/32" maple piece that was glued into place. The channels for the binding and purfling were routed on the back and front of the ukuleles. The purfling is a black-white 1/32" and bound with an "ivoroid" binding. The purfling and binding will protect the ukulele and provide an aesthetic element.
