After a week of fly fishing, I decided to ease back in to the uke construction. I drilled the position dots at the 5th, 7th and 10th frets on the top and side of the fret board. The dots are white plastic rods available at hobby stores and LMI. The dots on top of the fret board are 2mm and the side dots are l.lmm. I used a 2mm bradpoint drill on the drill press alignment was a bit cumbersome. I think the next time I will use a hand drill. The side dots were hand drilled with a small hobby drill. I sanded the dots down with 220, 330 and 400 grit sandpaper. I like the low key vintage look of these position dots.
