I started shaping the neck today. I rechecked the centerlines on the neck and roughed out the shape of the neck on the mahogany blank. I used the razor saw to rough-out the basic shape, then used a Stanley "Surform" plane and medium rasp. Shaping the neck is very satisfying. The compound curves and forms are like making a sculpture.
