Before completing the neck and attaching the body, I decided to fill the voids on the body and neck. The neck had two band saw cuts that needed filling. The voids between the binding and side also needed filling. The voids were small, about 1/64", but were visible at close inspection. I had collected mahogany sawdust from sanding the neck. I combined the saw dust and Crazy glue (cyanoacrylate) to form the filler. First, I packed the saw dust in the voids, then wicked the Crazy Glue over the saw dust and then put more saw dust over the wicked areas. After the glue dried, I scraped and sanded the filled areas. The wood is slightly darker where glue is present, but not really noticeable and even less so after the finish is put on.
