After attaching the sound board (front), I prepared the brace profiles by planing, sanding and chiseling the 3/8" sq. cedar blanks. The braces were glued with my makeshift "Go Bar" jig using my drill press and a plywood base attached to the bottom of the drill press. It worked fine. I was able to glue many of the braces without having to clamp them. The most nervous time was scalloping the braces with a chisel. I had visions of cutting through the sound board or side. Once I got the hand of it, scalloping was quite satisfying, almost fun.
