The tops and backs were "book matched". The backs were glued together with a center strip. The rosette design is reminiscent of early Martin type 3 ukuleles. The spruce bracing and Koa bridge patch were shaped as thin as possible to allow the top to vibrate. The back braces were shaped to accommodate the back radius. The sides were bent, placed in the mold and the top and backs were assembled.
