Fabricate Necks

Today, I started to mill some mahogany for the ukulele necks.  The mahogany is recycled wood that was bleacher seating in its former life (complete with gum still stuck underneath).  The boards were 20 feet long with bolt holes every 6 or 7 feet.  The board was cut at the bolt holes, giving 3 shorter boards.  Each board will provide 6 necks.  The 15 degree angle scarf joint for the peg head was cut on my chop saw.  The scarf joint and heel blocks were glued.  I roughed out the neck shape and the tenon with the band saw.
